Key elements of the job:

• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements, reconciliations, and IFRS/GAAP-compliant reports for securities activities.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and expense management for brokerage operations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for trading desks and client portfolios.
• Ensure tax compliance (CRA filings), including GST/HST and provincial securities taxes.
• Assist audits, maintain general ledger, and implement internal controls (SOX if applicable).
• Liaise with compliance team on cost allocations and regulatory financial reporting.

The ideal candidate:

• Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years experience in financial services/brokerage accounting.
• Proficiency in Quick Books, Excel such as pivots and VLOOKUP.
• Knowledge of Canadian tax laws, IFRS, and financial regulations (NI 31-103).
• Strong English proficiency, ;
  Mandarin or Cantonese is and advantage for regional coordination.
