TD Business Banking provides financial products and services to business customers and is comprised of the following businesses:
Commercial Banking, Commercial National Accounts, Commercial Mortgage Group, National Real Estate Group, Agriculture Services and Small Business Banking.
As a Credit Manager your role is to adjudicate/underwrite credit applications for Small Business requests while continuously developing excellent customer service skills and delivering a legendary customer experience to our partners.
Responsibilities- Optimize credit opportunities by assisting partners in adjudicating, structuring, packaging, and authorizing credits.
- Maintain good relationships with partners, responding to questions and concerns.
- Contribute to operational improvements to streamline procedures/processes and enhance service.
- Protect the interests of the Bank by ensuring credit is adjudicated in accordance with assigned discretionary limits and established guidelines.
- Perform due diligence in support of all credit applications.
- Escalate credit applications that exceed discretionary limits or established guidelines with recommendations.
- Leverage strong credit acumen as a subject‑matter expert in credit adjudication and analysis.
- Utilize knowledge of adjudication platforms, products, end‑to‑end processes and systems.
- Identify and investigate non‑standard operational/reporting/process issues.
- Handle complex applications with moderate to high credit limit authorizations and multi‑step transactions.
- Provide training and mentor team members on best practices and processes.
- Previous credit analysis experience with strong credit acumen; experience holding credit limits preferred.
- Experience in an exception lending environment.
- Above‑average analytical, problem‑solving, organizational and planning skills.
- Proven ability to deliver on customer experience goals.
- Advanced analytical, research, presentation, and communication skills.
- Detail oriented, multi‑tasking, time‑management, negotiation, relationship‑management, and interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills and competency with relevant credit systems.
Undergraduate degree or technical certificate.
