Job Description Reporting to the Director, Treasury, the Supervisor, Treasury is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day treasury operations of Extendicare and its subsidiaries, including joint venture partners. This role provides leadership and oversight of cash management activities, daily cash positioning and reporting, liquidity monitoring, and short- and long-term cash forecasting across the organization. The Supervisor, Treasury will lead a team of two direct reports and play a critical role in ensuring effective liquidity management, optimizing cash resources, and supporting business decision-making through insightful analysis and forecasting.
The successful candidate will bring strong treasury expertise, excellent analytical and Excel skills, sound business acumen, and a continuous improvement mindset while supporting Extendicare's culture of care and operational excellence. This position will be based at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario. Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment.
Supervise the day-to-day treasury operations for Extendicare, its subsidiaries, and joint venture partners, ensuring effective liquidity management and strong operational controls. Lead, coach, and develop a team of two Treasury Analysts while fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Oversee daily cash positioning, cash reporting, and funding activities across multiple entities and banking relationships. Manage the organization's cash forecasting process, providing timely and accurate short- and long-term liquidity forecasts to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Partner with Finance, Operations, Payroll, Accounts Payable, and other business stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy and optimize working capital. Develop and maintain treasury reporting, analytical models, and dashboards that provide meaningful business insights and support management decision-making. Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices to enhance treasury operations, reporting, and controls. Assist with banking relationships, financing activities, audits, and other treasury-related projects as required.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation required. 5+ years of treasury, cash management, or corporate finance experience, including team leadership responsibilities. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Financial modeling and forecasting experience preferred. Strong business acumen with the ability to understand operational drivers and translate data into actionable insights. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
