Our client is seeking a seasoned in-house Contract Technical Recruiter to join their team in Markham. This hybrid role requires two days per week in the office, with flexibility to increase to three days as needed. The contract is expected to last 3 to 6 months, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position.
The ideal candidate will bring strong interpersonal and leadership skills, a proven track record in negotiating strategies, and excellent organizational capabilities. Experience in developing recruitment marketing strategies to attract and retain top technical talent is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead recruitment efforts for all technical roles across the organization
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle in collaboration with leadership to meet hiring needs
- Draft and refine job descriptions; partner with hiring managers to understand team requirements
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates, including passive talent
- Screen and evaluate applicants; coordinate interviews and gather feedback
- Communicate with candidates throughout the interview process, ensuring a positive experience
- Extend offers and negotiate compensation packages
- Initiate onboarding plans for new hires
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting
- At least 3 years of experience specifically in technical recruiting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills required
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., ); ability to learn new systems quickly
- Strong knowledge of federal HR laws and regulations
- Deep understanding of recruiting best practices and candidate engagement
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cultural awareness skills
- Highly organized with strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize
- Capable of working under tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks
- Resourceful problem-solver with thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
- Process-driven and collaborative team player
