Litigation Associate

Overview
Compensation:  CA $70,000–CA $150,000 per year

Our personal injury and commercial litigation law firm is seeking a dedicated and motivated Associate with a minimum of two years of post-call experience in personal injury litigation. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives both independently and as part of a dynamic team. Strong communication skills, tenacity, and intellectual curiosity are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Correspond with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance companies

Draft pleadings, motions, mediation briefs, and other legal documents

Conduct legal research and review and summarize medical records

Attend case conferences, Examinations for Discovery, mediations, motions, hearings, and other proceedings as required

Negotiate and settle files

Maintain knowledge of and effectively apply the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS)

Qualifications

Minimum two years of post-call litigation experience

Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong legal research and analytical abilities

Proven ability to manage competing priorities

Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
