Weyburn Deputy Fire Chief Position

Looking for an impactful role in fire services? The City of Weyburn seeks a Deputy Fire Chief in a temporary full-time position responsible for critical operational management and training.

In this role, you will assist the Acting Fire Chief in leading fire department operations, ensuring adherence to policies and standards. Your responsibilities will include organizing and coordinating training programs for firefighters, evaluating departmental programs, and stepping in during the Acting Fire Chief's absence, ensuring public safety and operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily fire department operations

• Coordinate training for volunteers and career staff

• Evaluate departmental programs for effectiveness

• Act as lead during the Acting Fire Chief's absence

• Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of operational experience in fire services

• Advanced Fire College graduate certification

• Certificate in Fire Services or Emergency Service Management preferred

• Class 3 driver’s license with A endorsement

• Valid Standard First Aid Certificate with CPR
