Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to identify and develop new business opportunities for advanced online transformer monitoring solutions. This role focuses on understanding industry challenges, building strategic relationships, and positioning integrated monitoring and diagnostic solutions as trusted tools for managing power transformer health and risk.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in technical sales or business development within power transformer condition monitoring, including dissolved gas analysis, bushing condition, and partial discharge technologies, along with a solid understanding of substation asset health and risk assessment.
Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and evaluate emerging technologies in transformer monitoring to identify new business opportunities and market trends
Proactively identify, engage, and build relationships with prospective clients, partners, and industry influencers
Assess customer needs and recommend tailored monitoring solutions that deliver measurable business value
Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market presence
Track competitor activity and market dynamics to inform strategic positioning
Forecast sales, track pipeline activity, and report performance metrics to senior leadership
Collaborate with product management, marketing, and other stakeholders to develop sales enablement tools
Partner with sales teams to define and manage target customer lists
Attend relevant technical conferences and industry events for networking and lead generation
Perform other related duties as required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred)
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or end-user roles within power transformer online condition monitoring
Strong knowledge of transformer monitoring technologies, sensor integration, and asset health analytics
Demonstrated success in generating new business and closing sales in technical or engineering-driven environments
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and collaboration abilities
Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events
