Location: Markham, Ontario – On-site (Monday–Friday)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Compensation: $45,000 – $55,000 CAD (depending on experience)
About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established organization in the architectural building materials sector, is seeking an Entry-Level Sales Associate to join their growing team. This role is designed for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, develop strong industry knowledge, and grow into a long-term sales career.
The position offers hands-on mentorship, exposure to international business operations, and the unique opportunity to participate in regular travel to partner facilities in Asia and North America. If you're adaptable, curious, and excited to build meaningful relationships across global markets, this role provides an exceptional foundation for future growth in sales.
Responsibilities
- Learn and develop a strong understanding of architectural glass products and related manufacturing processes.
- Support senior sales team members in maintaining and strengthening client relationships.
- Identify and follow up on new business opportunities and qualified leads.
- Attend client meetings, international factory visits, and industry trade shows.
- Prepare sales reports, presentations, and assist with day-to-day sales support activities.
- Track market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication and a positive customer experience.
- Build toward a long-term pathway into a Sales Executive role.
Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements
- Fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
- Legally eligible to work in Canada (Permanent Residents strongly preferred due to international travel requirements).
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently — including within Canada, the U.S., and internationally (approx. once per month).
- Strong communication skills, professional presence, and cultural awareness.
- Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working on-site in Markham, Monday–Friday.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Cantonese language skills.
- Prior international travel experience.
- Interest in architecture, construction, or manufacturing environments.
