National Account Manager Food Service Coffee

Position Summary:

Reporting to the VP, Grocery Sales, he National Account Manager, Coffee (Food Service) is responsible for achieving annual volume targets associated with the regional business for designated Foodservice Grocery Accounts with direct account and broker management responsibility.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with Foodservice operator chains;
  • Establish new listings and develop category business with regional Foodservice distributors;
  • Establish new distributor and retail customers nationally with a focus on the Western Canada market
  • Develop and establish key business relationships taking the business to the next level and aiming at driving profitable volumes
  • Lead the expansion of the Lavazza Café concept with Western retail and food service partners
  • Support the development and execution of the annual business plan. Provide monthly performance in support of achieving annual goals and objectives.
  • Refine and maintain customer merchandising and promotional support plans for coffee portfolio in support of contracted standards
  • Development of customer presentations and proposals, business reviews
  • Effectively manage and reconcile all rebates, allowances, deductions and receivables with the applicable trading partners
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree or College Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
  • Experience in foodservice industry preferred with minimum 3 years previous experience calling on National Retail Banners.
  • Proven track record of delivering results
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish relationships.
  • Understands & practices solution selling; willingness to develop sales strategies and motivated to learn more.
