Omnify, a subsidiary of Lumify Inc., is a North American leader in advanced back-lighting systems and illuminated architectural lighting solutions. We design and manufacture innovative lighting platforms built around our patented Lumi Sheet® technology.
We're looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to generate new sales opportunities and develop early-stage customer relationships. This role is critical to Omnify's sales engine — identifying potential customers, qualifying opportunities, and building pipeline for the Regional Sales team. It's ideal for someone motivated, curious, and eager to build a career in professional sales, working closely with Marketing and Regional Sales Managers to uncover project opportunities across North America.
Responsibilities- Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, email, and digital outreach
- Follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns
- Identify and engage new potential customers within target markets
- Re-engage dormant accounts to identify new opportunities
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs and projects
- Qualify opportunities and gather key project information
- Create and manage new accounts and contacts in the CRM
- Maintain accurate records of outreach and opportunity development
- 1–3 years of professional experience (sales, customer-facing, or business development roles preferred)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Curiosity and willingness to learn about new industries and products
- High level of organization and discipline in managing outreach activities
- Comfort initiating conversations with new prospects
- Strong motivation to develop a career in professional sales
- Experience with CRM software an asset
