Wildlife Biologist for Energy Projects

This role requires strong technical knowledge to support projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring wildlife conservation and management. You will lead field surveys, prepare reports, and develop mitigation strategies for various energy projects including transmission and renewables. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders and monitor compliance with wildlife regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee wildlife field surveys and assessments
• Conduct environmental assessments and prepare permit applications
• Develop mitigation strategies to protect wildlife during construction
• Support proposal preparation and project deliverables
• Consult with stakeholders including Indigenous communities
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in Biology or Environmental Science
• 10+ years of experience in wildlife biology
• Strong knowledge of wildlife legislation and best practices
• Proficiency in ESRI products preferred
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
