Black & McDonald Limited is actively seeking a Journeyman Plumbing Technician – Service member based out our Markham office to support our truck based service to various clients in the GTA.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain and various plumbing systems and componentsReplace and upgrade existing systems and components related to the plumbing tradeRespond to emergency service calls within our client baseIdentify deficiencies and make recommendations to clientsComplete work orders, deficiency reports, field quotations, estimates and daily time summaries in a timely fashionMeasure, cut and connect piping using threading, brazing, and mechanical connection equipmentPerform scheduled maintenance as assignedPerform backflow tests and cross connection surveysMaintain a professional demeanourExceptional customer service skillsCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Backflow preventer certificate5 years of experience in an Plumbing position in service, maintenance, replacement and installation for commercial & industrial sitesAbility to read & work from mechanical schematicsValid G2 or G3 gas licence preferredValid ‘G’ Driver’s LicenseStrong mechanical ability and problem solving skillsGood co-ordination and manual dexterityGood physical strength and staminaAbility to work well with co-workers and deal with customersValid Plumber (JP) OCOT membershipMust be a member of Local 46 in good standingBlack & McDonald welcomes and encourages applications from persons with disabilities.
