Sewer Camera Operator Services

Advance your career with the City of Markham as a Sewer Flusher and Camera Operator. This role is pivotal in ensuring our wastewater systems operate smoothly and safely.

You will undertake responsibilities involving the operation of the Sewer Flusher truck and CCTV equipment, performing essential inspections and generating reports on sewer conditions. Engage directly with the community, addressing concerns related to wastewater operations and enhancing public health standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular sewer flushing to prevent blockages

• Operate the CCTV camera for thorough inspections

• Identify and document infrastructure defects

• Collaborate with city departments and external partners

• Respond to emergency sewer service requests

Requirements:

• High School diploma with post-secondary education

• Class II Certification in Drinking Water/Wastewater Collection

• 5+ years experience in Water Distribution and Wastewater

• Thorough understanding of the Ontario Safe Drinking Water Act

• AZ license is an asset for operational duties
