LocationField‑based:
Work is conducted on‑site at customer locations.
- Commission, program, set up graphics, communications link, conduct end‑to‑end testing, troubleshoot and service on assigned projects.
- Document point‑to‑point verification, sequence of operations validation and job close‑out requirements.
- Serve as the direct customer contact and provide servicing of products and equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer’s location.
- Coordinate with team leader and customer to precisely understand requirements for on‑site installation and repairs, forecast issues, gather materials and synchronize on‑site work.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys and service requests.
- Stay current on Trane products related to installation, operation, maintenance, service and repair of direct digital control systems.
- Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of company‑issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions.
- Demonstrate team effort and dedication to customers, maintaining flexibility to work overtime, weekends, nights and occasional overnight stays as required by business.
- Typically 1–5 years of HVAC/Controls experience, Technical School or formal training preferred.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computer (Smartphone, iPad).
- Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations.
- Prior experience with DDC controls systems preferred (e.g., Tridium Niagara).
- Ability to work overtime and weekends/nights as required.
- Can safely and legally operate a vehicle using a seat belt.
- Can wear helmets, safety goggles, fall protection harness and safety boots to safely perform job duties.
- Can twist torso 90° in each direction, squat and touch the floor with both hands, reach hands over head and stand on concrete for up to 4 hours.
- Can lift and/or move up to 10lbs. regularly and up to 40lbs. frequently; occasionally more than 40lbs. with special approval.
- Can safely use a ladder with a 375lb. total weight limit while wearing gear up to 50lbs.
- Can maneuver in access areas as small as 30” vertical ×45” horizontal.
- Can access rooftops with extension and/or fixed ladders at heights of 15’–20’, occasionally up to 50ft+.
- Exposed to variable weather, moving mechanical parts, heights, electrical shock, noise and other variable conditions depending on location.
Hourly base pay range: $44,600.00 – $93,800.00. Compensation is tailored to seniority, merit, location, education, experience, travel and union designation. Benefits may vary by region, business alignment and employee status.
