Join the City of Markham as a Full-Time Fleet Technician. This role entails maintaining and repairing city vehicles, ensuring all equipment meets regulated safety standards.
As part of the Operations Department, you will report to the Supervisor, Fleet & Supplies, performing critical inspections and repairs on a variety of vehicles. Candidates with at least seven years of experience will find significant opportunities to make an impact within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough inspections for commercial vehicle compliance
• Diagnose and repair advanced mechanical systems
• Maintain high standards in vehicle operation and safety
• Engage in overtime and standby duties as needed
• Complete additional related tasks assigned
Requirements:
• Valid Automotive Technician (310S) and Truck and Coach (310T) certifications
• Minimum of seven years of relevant experience
• Ability to obtain a 'DZ' Driver's License within six months
• Proficient use of vehicle diagnostics systems
• Supply your own tools for the trade
