Reporting to the Supervisor of Fleet & Supplies, you will conduct mandatory inspections and repairs on various vehicle systems, including automotive and heavy equipment. Your experience will be crucial in maintaining compliance with safety regulations and improving vehicle efficiency. On-call duties will be required once a month for this full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform mandatory commercial vehicle inspections and safety checks
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Maintain fleet equipment according to legislated standards
• Manage shift work, standby, and overtime as needed
• Complete additional repairs and maintenance as assigned
Requirements:
• High School diploma with valid Automotive Technician Certificate
• 7 years of relevant experience in the field
• DZ Driver’s License or ability to obtain one
• Proficiency in shop equipment, fabrication, and welding
• Must supply own tools and pass background checks
