Field Engineer specializing in OTDR Testing

Elevate your career as a Field Engineer with expertise in OTDR testing and Fiber optic troubleshooting. This role involves extensive travel to major data centers for hands-on diagnostics and repairs.

We are seeking a skilled Field Engineer specializing in OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) testing. You will work on large-scale Fiber optic networks for clients including Amazon, Comcast, Google, and Microsoft. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues and performing repairs in dynamic environments with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct OTDR testing for Fiber optic cables

• Troubleshoot and repair Fiber optic links

• Operate OTDR machines like EXFO and JDSU

• Execute Fiber splicing and testing procedures

• Generate detailed test reports and maintain records

Requirements:

• Proven experience in OTDR testing and splicing

• Familiarity with ISP/OSP network infrastructures

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Proficiency in MS Suite programs

• Willingness to travel 80-90% of the time
