Become a vital part of Generations Cleaning as a Full-Time Live-In Superintendent in a retirement building in Markham. Leverage your handyman skills in a secure environment providing essential maintenance.
As the Live-In Superintendent, you will oversee daily upkeep and emergency repairs within the retirement building. Bring at least five years of experience in handyman work, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills to ensure residents' safety and comfort.
Your role will also involve coordinating with external contractors while maintaining responsiveness to urgent situations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine and emergency repairs throughout the building
• Maintain HVAC, boiler, chiller, and generator systems
• Manage building cleanliness, safety, and security
• Conduct regular property inspections and maintenance records
• Assist with tenant relations and support move-ins
Requirements:
• 5+ years in a Superintendent or Maintenance role
• Strong handyman knowledge in plumbing and electrical
• Ability to respond to urgent on-call situations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
