Senior Tax Analyst – Tax Accounting (Hybrid – Boston Area)

The Tax Accounting team is responsible for the global income tax provision for SEC reporting, along with technical accounting, audit support, and transaction-related tax accounting. This team operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong visibility across Corporate Finance and Tax.
The organization is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to support tax provision, reporting, and technical accounting initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with ASC 740 experience who is eager to contribute ideas, drive process improvements, and grow within a dynamic global company.
This is a hybrid role (3 days in office) based in the Boston area.
Key Responsibilities Tax Provision & Reporting- Prepare and review international tax provisions and return-to-provision analyses using One Source Tax Provision in accordance with ASC 740
- Prepare quarterly tax-related journal entries and reconciliations aligned with U.S. GAAP
- Maintain and reconcile income tax accounts on a monthly basis
- Partner with external auditors to support quarterly and annual tax provision audits
- Provide required documentation and respond to audit inquiries
- Coordinate deliverables across multiple tax and finance teams, including federal, state, forecasting, and global structuring groups
- Serve as a key point of contact for international teams and external providers on income tax matters
- Research U.S. GAAP tax accounting issues and document conclusions in technical memos
- Support tax accounting for business combinations, acquisitions, and divestitures (including purchase accounting adjustments and deferred taxes)
- Assist in identifying and documenting uncertain tax positions and ensuring appropriate financial statement disclosure
- Support SOX 404 compliance through execution and documentation of internal controls
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and leverage technology
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 4+ years of relevant experience (public accounting or combination of public accounting and multinational corporate tax)
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and U.S. GAAP
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation
- Experience with One Source Tax Provision or similar tax software
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, HFM, Smart View or similar)
- Experience supporting multinational tax accounting processes
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset and ownership mentality
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Interest in process improvement and continuous learning
- Exposure to SEC reporting and global tax provision processes
