Job Summary

The Category Manager within Global Sourcing & Procurement will serve as a strategic business partner
, leveraging sourcing expertise and industry knowledge to deliver cost improvements, build strong relationships, and drive category strategies. This role requires cross‑functional collaboration and the ability to lead sourcing events, develop negotiation strategies, and manage supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead sourcing event execution for assigned categories using defined strategic sourcing methodologies and tools.
  • Support Senior Category Managers with high‑complexity regional and global sourcing strategies.
  • Develop and implement category strategies across areas such as Loss Prevention, Facilities, Waste, Supply Chain, Fixtures, Construction, Engineering, Supplies, Energy, HR, and Marketing
    .
  • Partner with Business Leaders and ensure satisfaction through strategic alignment.
  • Execute contracts in compliance with company approval and audit requirements.
  • Develop negotiation strategies and conduct negotiations.
  • Collaborate in global category teams and identify opportunities for process and cost improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with Source‑to‑Pay processes.
  • Track and report savings and performance metrics.
  • Present sourcing recommendations to leadership.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
    , or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement.
  • Proven business acumen and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite
    .
  • Experience in one or more categories:
    Loss Prevention, Facilities, Supply Chain, Construction, HR, Marketing, etc.
  • Data analysis and trend recognition for spend and supplier performance.
  • Strong presentation skills, with ability to address senior leadership.
  • Effective relationship management with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years strategic sourcing or procurement experience
    .
  • Managerial experience (1+ years preferred).
  • Retail industry or multinational sourcing experience.
