Principal Software Systems Quality Engineer (Compliance)
Location:
Marlborough, MA (1001 Boston Post Rd). Onsite role requiring a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Supports Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) teams on multiple missile and defense programs. Collaborates with Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Integration/Test, Safety, Program Quality Leads, and Hardware Quality to ensure all deliverables meet contractual, regulatory, and quality requirements.
Location & Work SchedulePrimary work site:
Marlborough, MA (1001 Boston Post Road). Core activities are onsite Monday through Friday. Semi‑monthly visits to Tewksbury, MA (50 Apple Hill Drive); monthly test witnessing at Andover, MA (362 Lowell Street); annual test witnessing at Pelham, NH (50 Bush Hill Road).
- Review Document Deliverables (CDRL), Command Media, SW Release Packages, SW Requirements Changes, SW/System Defects, SW Pulls (Code Reviews), Media, and Test Artifacts.
- Participate in Peer Reviews (Software & Systems), Control Boards (CCB, SRB), and Tracking Books (Metrics).
- Witness software quality test activities (SQT, FQT) and conduct audits.
- Ensure digital products comply with contractual requirements and maintain quality attributes, metrics, and data integrity.
- Perform risk assessment and independent evaluations across the lifecycle.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Apply Agile and Dev Sec Ops practices, including continuous integration and delivery.
- Provide guidance to senior leadership, team members, and peers on quality processes.
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- Eight (8) years of experience in Quality or Engineering roles, applying principles across Agile, Testing, Requirements, Software, Defects, Release, Metrics, and Analysis.
- Strong experience with Agile (SCRUM), CI/CD, testing plans, traceability, performance, contracts, code review, configuration management, release management, and metrics dashboards.
- Certifications in Quality, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Agile, Cyber/IA, or Project Management.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as AS9115, AS9100, ISO
9001. - Experience with Dev Sec Ops tool chains including Azure Dev Ops, Confluence, Jenkins, Git Hub, Coverity.
- Networking fundamentals covering OSI, TCP/IP, TLS, DHCP, SNMP, and cloud‑based infrastructures.
- Leadership in cross‑functional initiatives, planning, execution, and escalation.
Salary range: $107,500 - $204,500 USD.
