Home Visiting Support

Overview

You will be working with parents and their infants or pre-school aged children that may need a bit of extra support in the home. The goal is to help them build self confidence, provide companionship, teach life skills that are of practical value in the home, support them with short‑term basic tasks and help them make the most of resources available to them in the community.

Provide companionship and support to parents and children in their homes.

Teach practical life skills such as parenting routines, time management, coping with stress, menu planning, budgeting, housekeeping, and more.

Assist with short‑term basic tasks in the home.

Practical, open‑minded, empathetic, good communication skills, a sense of humor, and able to maintain confidentiality at all times.

• Preferably experience in raising children and running a household.
• Range of helpful skills including parenting routines, time management, coping with stress, menu planning, budgeting, housekeeping, and more.
• A Police background check is required.

An initial recruitment process and training followed by 1‑2 hours per week for three months.
