The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Construction Project Lead for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Marlborough, MA.
Job Description- Payrate: $38–47 per hour (W2)
- Duration: 4½‑month contract
- Construction Project Lead directly oversees miscellaneous construction and signage projects within different chains.
- Aids in project schedules and assigning General Contractors and/or Sign Vendors.
- Distributes all required project documents to external and internal contacts.
- Negotiates pricing, reviews and approves proposals and invoices, tracks progress and ensures close‑outs for all miscellaneous construction and signage initiatives assigned.
- Supplies updates detailing the status of all miscellaneous construction and signage initiatives on a regular basis.
- 5–8 years in Construction, Facilities, Store Planning, Fixturing, Architectural Design, or related construction trades.
- Strong organization and project planning skills.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Highly self‑motivated, works well in a team environment.
- Understanding and ability to read blueprints, specifically floor plans, elevations, and site plans.
- Strong knowledge of store layouts, HVAC, electrical and plumbing criteria preferred.
- Experience working on complex projects is a plus; retail experience preferred.
- General fixturing and retail store planning knowledge a plus.
- Ability to decipher landlord and city codes as it relates to exterior signs.
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Word;
Lucernex and Service Channel experience a plus.
- Create construction contract preparation memos and Docu Signs for all assigned projects.
- Ensure sign vendors adhere to contract pricing and specifications for all assigned projects.
- Track and adhere to budgets, review, and approve proposals and invoices for all assigned construction and signage projects.
- Award miscellaneous construction projects to General Contractors and/or Sign Vendors.
- Send kick‑off emails for all assigned projects, conduct remote kick‑off meetings for applicable project types.
- Track progress of all assigned projects.
- Adjust contractor schedule strategies to ensure timely completion of projects and cost‑effective execution methods.
- Perform related administrative tasks on a regular basis.
