The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Construction Project Lead for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Marlborough, MA.

Job Description
  • Payrate: $38–47 per hour (W2)
  • Duration: 4½‑month contract
  • Construction Project Lead directly oversees miscellaneous construction and signage projects within different chains.
  • Aids in project schedules and assigning General Contractors and/or Sign Vendors.
  • Distributes all required project documents to external and internal contacts.
  • Negotiates pricing, reviews and approves proposals and invoices, tracks progress and ensures close‑outs for all miscellaneous construction and signage initiatives assigned.
  • Supplies updates detailing the status of all miscellaneous construction and signage initiatives on a regular basis.
Requirements
  • 5–8 years in Construction, Facilities, Store Planning, Fixturing, Architectural Design, or related construction trades.
  • Strong organization and project planning skills.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly self‑motivated, works well in a team environment.
  • Understanding and ability to read blueprints, specifically floor plans, elevations, and site plans.
  • Strong knowledge of store layouts, HVAC, electrical and plumbing criteria preferred.
  • Experience working on complex projects is a plus; retail experience preferred.
  • General fixturing and retail store planning knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to decipher landlord and city codes as it relates to exterior signs.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Word;
    Lucernex and Service Channel experience a plus.
Major Areas of Responsibility
  • Create construction contract preparation memos and Docu Signs for all assigned projects.
  • Ensure sign vendors adhere to contract pricing and specifications for all assigned projects.
  • Track and adhere to budgets, review, and approve proposals and invoices for all assigned construction and signage projects.
  • Award miscellaneous construction projects to General Contractors and/or Sign Vendors.
  • Send kick‑off emails for all assigned projects, conduct remote kick‑off meetings for applicable project types.
  • Track progress of all assigned projects.
  • Adjust contractor schedule strategies to ensure timely completion of projects and cost‑effective execution methods.
  • Perform related administrative tasks on a regular basis.
