Passion Dental is seeking a motivated, patient-focused Traveling Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our growing team! As we continue growing our amazing Oral Surgery program
, we’re looking for a skilled and adaptable Dental Assistant who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while supporting our oral surgeons across multiple practice locations.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and enjoys working across multiple offices to help deliver outstanding patient experiences. As a Traveling Oral Surgery Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our surgeons, ensuring smooth clinical operations, and helping build an exceptional specialty program throughout our network of practices.
The primary role of the Traveling Oral Surgery Dental Assistant is to assist oral surgeons in delivering high-quality care while fostering a positive and comfortable patient experience. Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical skills, excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to different office environments while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and professionalism.
Responsibilities- Travel between assigned practice locations to support oral surgery procedures and patient care
- Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures, including extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, and other oral surgery treatments
- Prepare and disinfect treatment and surgical rooms before and after procedures
- Ensure all instruments, equipment, and supplies are properly sterilized and maintained according to OSHA and infection control standards
- Take and process dental radiographs and CBCT scans as permitted by state regulations
- Monitor and support patients throughout surgical procedures
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers
- Maintain accurate patient records, surgical documentation, and treatment notes
- Set up and break down surgical trays and equipment for oral surgery procedures
- Manage inventory and ensure surgical supplies are adequately stocked at each location
- Respond to patient questions and concerns with professionalism and compassion
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, clinical staff, and office teams across multiple locations
- Adhere to all company policies, HIPAA requirements, safety protocols, and infection control guidelines
- Previous Oral Surgery Dental Assisting experience preferred
- Dental Assistant certification and radiology certification as required by state regulations
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques
- Strong organizational, communication, and patient care skills
- Ability to travel regularly between multiple office locations
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different clinical environments
- Experience with dental software and electronic health records preferred
