We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Urologist to join our dedicated team at Nelson Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high‑performing service that delivers safe, effective, and patient-centred urological care to our community.

In this role, you will work within acollaborative multidisciplinary team, delivering comprehensive urology careacross both outpatient and inpatient settings. This includes diagnostic assessment, operative and procedural management, and ongoing follow‑up care. There is also scope to contribute to service development, support teaching and supervision, and take on clinical leadership responsibilities within the service.

This position will be located at Nelson Hospital with the requirement to work across both sites.

• Provide elective and acute urology services acrossthe district
• Collaborate with surgical, oncology, and renal teams
• Participate in on‑call roster and multidisciplinary meetings
• Support junior medical staff and contribute to teaching and training
• Engage in continuous quality improvement and innovation

The Nelson Marlborough Urology Service provides comprehensive secondary-level urological care to a population of approximately 150,000 people across the topof the South Island.

The service includes:

• Outpatient assessment andfollow‑up clinics
• Elective and acute inpatient care
• Urological oncology in collaboration with regional cancer services

The service operates primarily from Nelson Hospital, with regular elective listsand clinics at Wairau Hospital to ensure equitable access across the district.

• Be eligible for an Annual Practising Certificate with a vocational scope of Urology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent
• Have Proven experience in general urology; subspecialty interest welcomed
• Be Commitment to equity, patient safety, and collaborative care
