** About the Role
** As a Consultant Adult Community Psychiatrist, you will:
* Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for adults with moderate to severe mental health conditions.
* Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support recovery-focused care.
* Provide clinical leadership and contribute to service development initiatives.
* Support supervision and teaching of junior medical staff and contribute to continuing professional development within the team.
* Maintaining high standards of clinical service, risk management, and quality improvement.
** About the Team/Service/ Location
** The Adult Community Mental Health Team provides specialistsecondary mental health care to adults aged 18'65 years across the Marlboroughregion. We are committed to delivering recovery-focused, person-centred carethat supports whaiora and their whānau within the community.
Our service works collaboratively with primary care, NGOpartners, inpatient services, addiction services, forensic services, and cultural support providers to ensure integrated and equitable mental healthcare.
Our Multidisciplinary Team includes Medical Officers, Clinical Psychologists,Occupational Therapists, Registered Nurses and Social Workers, and employmentspecialists, committed to early intervention, holistic care, and continuous service improvement to achieve the best possible outcomes for the community.

** About you
** The ideal applicant will:
* Bring their psychiatric skills and experience to an acute secondary care hospital and contribute to how healthcare is delivered in Blenheim.
* Hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent.
* Be eligible for an Annual Practising Certificate and vocational registration of Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
* Have experience in consult-liaison psychiatry (preferred but not essential).
* Demonstrate commitment to continuing medical education and professional development.
