AVC Para educator(s) – REACH & Evolution Programs
AVC is looking for Paraeducators to support students in our REACH and Evolution Programs. Positions may be assigned to one classroom or float to multiple locations.

Assabet Valley Collaborative (AVC) is an educational service agency in Metrowest/Central Massachusetts that offers school programs, wraparound services, transportation, professional development, cooperative purchasing, and consulting.
We’re seeking Paraeducators for our REACH and Evolution Programs. REACH serves students ages 3‑18 with diverse physical, medical, and learning needs, while Evolution is a transition program for students ages 18‑22 with a range of physical and mental health needs. Opportunities may arise to float between programs.

Job ResponsibilitiesThe paraprofessional supports overall programming and services to maximize classroom safety and learning goals. Paraeducators engage in 1:1, small group, and whole group opportunities and perform additional duties as needed.
Ideal Candidates Have- Experience working in schools, nonprofits, or human service organizations.
- Flexibility, responsibility, and follow‑through.
- Teamwork skills, including navigating conflict.
- Ability to give and receive clear, direct feedback.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
- Capability to thrive in a team while working independently.
- Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and ability to transport students in AVC vehicles (preferred).
- Physical ability to transfer, lift, or shift students or equipment, and manage such equipment.
- Compensation competitive within the public school employees sector.
- Hourly pay range: $22.76–$37.04.
- Paid leave: 10 sick days and 3 personal days per year.
- $1,200 tuition reimbursement.
- $1,500 stipend (only for paras) for flexible use (tuition, cash, insurance, etc.).
- School‑year, 185 day position with a 7‑hour reporting day.
- Additional hours and compensation available for summer school service.
- 75% health insurance premiums covered (High Deductible Health Plan – HDHP).
- HSA contribution of 50% of deductible.
- Participation in MA state pension systems.
- Voluntary benefits: life, short‑term, long‑term insurance; dental.
