Looking for a flexible, rewarding role working with children? Illuminate Montessori is seeking warm, dependable, and adaptable Substitute Teachers / Classroom Assistants to join our team on an as‑needed/per diem basis
.
This is a great fit for:
- Teachers or assistants looking for flexible hours
- College students in education, psychology, or child development
- Retired educators
- Babysitters, nannies, or childcare professionals
- Anyone passionate about working with children in a calm, respectful Montessori environment
- Monday–Friday between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 5–40 hours/week depending on school needs and your availability
- Flexible scheduling with opportunities for half days, full days, and last-minute coverage
- Support children in Toddler and Preschool/Kindergarten classrooms
- Assist teachers with routines, supervision, meals, outdoor time, and classroom organization
- Maintain a warm, safe, calm, and engaging environment
- Help support smooth classroom transitions and daily operations
- Childcare or education experience preferred but not required
- Montessori experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate
- Reliable, positive, flexible, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working with young children in a fast‑paced environment
