Illuminate Montessori is looking for a warm, nurturing, and dependable Infant Teacher / Nido Guide to join our growing Nido community.

Our Nido classroom serves our youngest children in a calm, beautiful Montessori environment designed around secure relationships, individualized care, movement, independence, and respect for each child's natural development.

Core Job Responsibilities

As a Nido Guide, you will:

• Provide warm, responsive, and individualized care to infants
• Build secure and trusting relationships with children and families
• Follow each child's individual feeding, sleeping, and care routines
• Support early independence, movement, language, and development through Montessori practices
• Maintain a peaceful, clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate prepared environment
• Observe children closely and communicate developmental milestones, needs, and concerns with your classroom team
• Maintain accurate daily care information and communicate positively with families
• Ensure active supervision, safety, sanitation, and compliance with Massachusetts EEC requirements
• Collaborate with your teaching team to maintain consistent classroom routines and expectations
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, mentorship, and Montessori training

Requirements

• MA EEC Infant-Toddler Teacher qualification/certification strongly preferred
• Previous professional experience caring for infants
• Strong understanding of infant safety and development
• Dependability and strong attendance
• Ability to communicate professionally with families and coworkers
• Passion for helping young children develop independence and confidence

Montessori experience is a plus,
but not required we are happy to support the right educator in learning the Montessori method
