The Protected Communications Systems (PCS) business delivers resilient national, strategic and tactical communication and integrated command, control, communications and computers (C3) mission capability solutions to the U.S. and allied nations. We are seeking a Senior Digital Electrical Engineer to perform the complete digital design of a PCB from inception through layout and assembly. The role requires a self‑starter who can adapt rapidly, effectively network and communicate at all levels to ensure successful completion of projects on aggressive schedules.
Responsibilities- Work within a team environment to generate/update schematics based on design requirements.
- Collaborate with ECAD designers to produce a complete database and drawings for building PCBs and concave‑conformal assemblies.
- Perform design analyses including timing, power, and signal integrity.
- Execute design verification and troubleshooting.
- Produce comprehensive design documentation.
- Proficient in schematic design: parts selection, schematic capture, library management, and parts list creation.
- Proficient in PCB design: stack‑up/plane/routing rule definition and verification, placement, constraints setting, and DRC validation.
- Experience with ODB++ validation and approval of PCB/CCA drawing sets.
- Experience with design verification and analysis: timing, power, signal integrity analysis, bench‑level testing, troubleshooting, and test result analysis.
- Ability to generate design documentation including test requirements and design memos.
- Minimum five years of experience as an electrical engineer developing digital/mixed‑signal high‑speed circuit card assemblies.
- A STEM degree with a minimum of five years relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of three years of experience.
- Proficiency with Siemens Xpedition design tools.
- Knowledge of IPC standards for PCB design and fabrication.
- Knowledge of IEEE and MIL standards.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficiency with analog and mixed‑signal circuits.

$86,800 – $165,200 USD
