About the Role
This ENDO R&D Co‑op position at Boston Scientific requires employees to work onsite in the local office at least five days per week. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible applicants, though the company does not sponsor visas. The role is open to qualified candidates graduating between Spring 2027 and Spring 2028, with a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Bioengineering.
Responsibilities- Research, develop, design, and evaluate material, components, assemblies, processes and/or equipment
- Work “hands‑on” in performing testing, troubleshooting, and prototype assembly for new products and technologies
- Utilize CAD/Solid Works as required while completing assignments
- Design and coordinate engineering tests and experiments
- Perform basic statistical analyses in Minitab as necessary
- Maintain detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development
- Gather and provide technical data for technical reviews
- Contribute or prepare standard reports/documentation to communicate results to the technical community
- Contribute ideas to generate Intellectual Property submissions
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively with peers, engineering personnel, technicians, and management
- May provide material testing support and analysis
- Must graduate between Spring 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate level degree majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Bioengineering.
- Must be able to commit to one of the following full co‑op program periods:
July 13th — December 18th, 2026. - Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment‑based work authorization.
- Must have at least 0‑3 months of experience in AutoCAD/CAD.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the Marlborough, MA, Boston Scientific Corporate location.
- Prior internship or co‑op experience in a related field.
- Experience contributing to research and development (R&D) projects, either within academic coursework or through extracurricular initiatives.
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the medical technology (medtech) industry.
- Hands‑on experience with testing, prototyping and technical documentation.
- Exposure to laboratory, engineering or product development environments through academic or practical experience.
