Job Description
Technical Staffing Resources has an opening for a Piping Designer with one of the largest EPC firms in the country. This is a long‑term contract position in the Marlborough, MA area.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform the necessary fieldwork, pulling measurements, locating tie‑ins, as‑building existing systems, etc., and develop detailed scopes.
- Work from P&IDs, client specifications and vendor data to design complex piping systems for chemical facilities.
- Create isometrics and pipe supports.
- Ensure that the completed design is functional, maintainable, and designed with safety and that all applicable codes have been followed.
- Interface with other disciplines.
- Knowledgeable in the design and layout of process piping and equipment in chemical facilities or refineries.
- AutoCAD experience required; 3D or PLANT preferred. Proficient with MS Office and SharePoint.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Field experience is required.
