Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst – M&A will play a critical role in supporting the company’s acquisition strategy and financial planning efforts. This individual will serve as a key member of the FP&A team, leading detailed financial modeling for acquisitions, analyzing both seller‑provided and internal financials, and delivering insights to support strategic decision‑making.
The ideal candidate is an advanced Excel user (true “Excel guru”) with strong PowerPoint skills, deep experience reviewing P&Ls, and a proven ability to build and interpret complex financial models in an M&A environment.
Work ScheduleHybrid, 2–3 days in office, with flexibility based on team needs.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Lead the development of detailed financial models for acquisition targets, including valuation, accretion/dilution, and return analysis.
- Analyze and reconcile seller‑provided financial statements with internal financial data to assess accuracy, risks, and opportunities.
- Perform deep‑drive analysis of P&Ls (both seller and company) to support investment decisions and diligence efforts.
- Partner with M&A, operations, and executive leadership to evaluate acquisition opportunities and support negotiations.
- Track and analyze post‑acquisition performance versus underwriting models and identify key variances.
- Build and maintain dynamic Excel models to support scenario analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Prepare executive‑level presentations and investment materials using PowerPoint for senior leadership, board members, and external stakeholders.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes, including variance analysis and key performance metrics.
- Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and long‑term financial plans.
- Conduct ad‑hoc financial analysis and support special projects, including large‑scale acquisitions and integration initiatives.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, sales, and accounting to understand business drivers and improve financial visibility.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and modeling efficiency.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling, scenario analysis required)
- Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, concise presentations
- Deep understanding of financial statements, particularly P&L analysis
- Experience evaluating seller financials and conducting financial due diligence
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deal‑driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate insights to senior leadership
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect financial analysis to operational drivers
- Self‑starter with a proactive, hands‑on approach
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 4–7+ years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or FP&A with M&A exposure
- Proven experience building complex financial models for acquisitions or investments
- Experience reviewing and analyzing seller‑provided financials and conducting due diligence
- Experience preparing materials for senior leadership, board of directors, or investors
- Prior experience in a high‑growth, acquisitive company preferred
- MBA, CPA, or CFA designation preferred

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $100,000 – $125,000 at the time of posting, with annual target bonus opportunity estimated at 10% of base pay. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
