Compensation
This position offers a $40K draw against future commissions earned with uncapped commission earning potential on a tiered commission structure. An average performer is expected to make $119K annually.
SummarySupport the community mortgage growth initiative by achieving annual production sales goals within our established community charter. Mortgage production will come from the hunter‑gather approach. It will be imperative that the RMLO builds lasting relationships within the community and in the real estate community.
Role And Responsibilities- Generate mortgage loans from the defined community area by establishing and growing real estate agent relationships.
- Make weekly calls to well established agents in the community and perform lunch and learns to share BCU products and services.
- Daily use of Salesforce is expected to track all activity including current and future leads and opportunities.
- Establish strong working relationships with the operations team including processing, underwriting, and closing.
- Perform activities in support of new ILCRA expectations as defined by BCU Action plan to include outreach for Community Development, Housing Assistance and Down Payment Assistance programs in footprint.
- Maintain a high NPS score for all closed transactions.
- Thoroughly complete first mortgage loan applications in the MCP platform including collecting of income, assets, disclosures, ITP, any applicable LOX’s for credit etc.
- Ensure loan submissions are accurate, timely and profitable.
- Maintain a working knowledge of investor guidelines. Matrices and required LLPA’s.
- Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales and service goals, including NPS goals and eNPS.
- Apply current BCU lending fundamentals, policies, and procedures, including Regulations B and Z, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and TRID.
- Provide fundamental credit counseling to members, where appropriate and necessary.
- Facilitate training and attend conference calls with the real estate brokerages.
- Comply with all applicable policies, procedures and regulations related to mortgage loan origination.
- Successfully complete all required registrations or certifications as needed i.e.: comply with safe act requirements including NMLS #.
- Promote credit union mortgage products and services by hosting a minimum of 6 on‑site seminars, webinars.
- Preferred retail mortgage lending experience but not required.
- An interest in building relationships with customers, real estate agents, and community partners.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to talk confidently with our members.
- Comfortable using basic computer programs such as Windows, email, and the internet.
- A positive attitude with the ability to learn quickly.
- Able to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to adapt to changes in the market and remain flexible.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to set goals, follow a plan, and adjust as needed.
- A desire to grow a successful career in sales and mortgage lending.
