About the role:
The Finance team is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Data, Analytics and Business Intelligence pillar within the Global HQ Fin Ops team. Over the past two years, GHQ Fin Ops has built a strong foundation in standardized reporting, global data asset creation, and process excellence. As we enter the next phase of our evolution, this role will be critical in advancing our enterprise financial data strategy, modernizing our reporting capabilities, accelerating our AI roadmap, and deepening analytics across FP&A.
In this role, you will lead the development, governance, and continuous enhancement of our enterprise financial data products in Snowflake, as well as our portfolio of Power BI management reporting solutions. You will oversee a team of BI analysts, drive the roadmap for our global financial data warehouse, and partner closely with Global Divisions, Corporate Functions, Finance Forward, and IT to deliver high-quality, insight-driven reporting and emerging AI-enabled solutions.
You will play a key role in shaping the GHQ Fin Ops’ BI and Analytics strategy, expanding reporting automation, strengthening adoption, and ensuring our solutions scale across divisions and regions as a center of excellence for the enterprise. This role will report to the Associate Director, Global HQ Fin Ops.
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the Analytics and Business Intelligence pillar of GHQ Fin Ops, overseeing Power BI development, data product ownership, and BI solution governance for Global Divisions and Corporate Functions.
- Define, manage, and communicate the Data, BI, and AI roadmap in alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
- Shape and execute the GHQ Fin Ops data strategy, ensuring Snowflake data assets enable scalable, accurate, and consistent reporting across the enterprise.
- Drive experimentation, prototyping, and adoption of GenAI and advanced analytics solutions, ensuring they are grounded in high-quality data, compliant with governance, and scalable across Finance.
- Drive innovation in reporting—advancing automation, visualization, and analytical capabilities through modern Analytics and BI technologies.
- Partner with IT, Corporate Functions Analytics and Finance Technology teams to strengthen data integration, pipeline reliability, and metadata governance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on financial data, reporting design, visualization best practices, analytics opportunities, and emerging AI capabilities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of BI analysts and data engineers, promoting collaboration, cross-training, and technical excellence.
- Support technical skill development in Power BI, SQL, Snowflake, data modeling, AI, and data storytelling to expand team capability and resilience.
- Collaborate with Finance Forward and functional/regional BI delivery teams to drive global alignment on finance data assets and reporting strategy.
- Partner with GHQ Fin Ops leadership on user adoption initiatives, including training, communications, and retirement of legacy reporting.
