In this role you will work as a senior, individual‑contributor architect responsible for the security of classified information systems across multiple programs. You will partner with Cybersecurity Operations, Digital Technology and Engineering to align technical capabilities and provide strategic guidance to Information System Security Managers, Mission Area Leads, Cybersecurity Officers and System Integrators.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct briefings and presentations for multiple levels of the business.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designated tools, ensuring alignment with Raytheon’s standard solutions portfolio.
- Develop, implement and support technical standards while balancing program needs.
- Provide strategic direction and drive technological innovation.
- Collaborate with other architecture teams to design and develop secure, compliant technical solutions for deployment.
- Conduct technical solution evaluation for new technology; perform gap analysis and risk evaluations of new capabilities.
- Offer expert technical advisement in customer negotiations, approval requests and other tasks as needed.
- Ensure efficiencies, cost offsets and savings are captured by the Architecture team to enable competitive advantage.
- Provide oversight and leadership of Cybersecurity projects and initiatives, including cost‑benefit and risk management analysis.
- Support enterprise and business initiatives to drive technological evolution of supported programs.
- Travel up to 10% as required.
- University degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Experience in Cyber/Systems Security or Network Architecture/Technology.
- Experience understanding and implementing compliance regulations such as NISPOM, DAAPM, JAFAN, ICD, FAA, HIPAA and other government requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret).
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Within six months of hire, obtain a DoD 8570.01‑M IAM Level III certified credential (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GSLC or CCISO).
- Experience with change management or architectural governance.
- Ability to tailor technical discussions to various audiences and produce security white papers and concepts of operations.
- Experience with information security COTS applications (endpoint security, SIEM, vulnerability management, encryption, antivirus).
- Experience with project management and collaboration tools (SharePoint, MS Project, JIRA, Azure Dev Ops).
- Experience with SIEM tools.
- Understanding of enterprise architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, DoDAF.
- Familiarity with containerization and related technologies (Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker).
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, Nutanix).
- Familiarity with cloud architecture, service categories and deployment models.
Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD, dependent on experience.
