Role
Summary:
Senior Platform Engineer integrating software in C++, C, and Java on hardware running Red Hat and Windows within a Layer 3 network. The role involves providing practical solutions to technical software problems, supporting multiple programs and platforms, implementing OS‑level configurations, and utilizing agile development, automation, and continuous integration.
- Support and improve our Dev Sec Ops pipeline.
- Handle emergency situations that stop the pipeline and address them quickly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with engineers of all levels.
- Debug and correct stability issues in software baselines.
- Configure and install operating systems (RHEL).
- Configure and install network switches (Dell, Cisco, etc.).
- Configure and install other network devices (NAS devices, terminal servers, etc.).
- Perform integration and testing of real‑time embedded software, application software, and tools that run on Linux.
- Maintain and enhance tooling infrastructure.
- Possible opportunities to travel domestically and internationally.
- Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Bash.
- Experience with Clear Case, Git or other configuration management tools.
- Experience with configuring, deploying and maintaining Linux operating systems.
- Experience developing software using C++, C, and Java.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Interim Secret security clearance before the start date; U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience with Dev Sec Ops and test automation using Jenkins and Grafana.
- Experience configuring network devices.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with automated Windows setup, deployment and maintenance.
- Experience hardening Windows environments.
- Experience hardening Red Hat Linux environments.
- Experience with virtualization.
- Experience integrating Windows environments with monitoring solutions such as Splunk and McAfee TACC.
- Experience with DISM, Power Shell, .NET, Bash, etc.
- Experience with Red Hat IDM.
- Experience with Red Hat Linux system administration.
- Experience with Collaborator or other source code review tools.
- Experience with Coverity or other static analysis tools.
- Experience with GIT, Jira, Artifactory, Bit Bucket, Coverity, Grafana.

Salary Range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD. The range is a good faith estimate for all experience levels; factors for an offer include role, function, responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
