RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is hiring a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for our Marlborough, Massachusetts facility. The role is 100% onsite and involves supporting the Information Systems Security Manager to ensure compliance with NIST Special Publications, customer directives, and company policies, including NISPOM Chapter 8, DAAPM, and JSIG.
Security Requirements- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active Secret security clearance required on day 1.
- Within six months of hire, obtain and maintain a Security+ or equivalent IAM Level I certification.
- Assess and monitor system compliance, audit, security plan development.
- Deliver information systems security education and awareness.
- Investigate security violations and prepare corrective action reports.
- Review and approve configuration management requests within authority.
- Conduct technical and administrative assessments.
- Integrate new cybersecurity processes, procedures, and tools.
- Support creation, review, and update of cybersecurity documentation and technical writing.
- University degree (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years experience.
- Experience in cybersecurity, systems security, or hardening.
- Compliance-based auditing using RMF, DCSA, DAAPM, JSIG, NISPOM, or non‑defense standards such as FAA, PCI, ISO 9001, HIPAA.
- Experience with computer technologies (databases, operating systems, network hardware, software).
- Physical security or investigative experience preferred.
- Project or program management, office management, senior administration, or account management experience preferred.
- Work in DoD classified or laboratory environments.
- Proficiency with vulnerability analysis and mitigation tools (e.g., Splunk, Forcepoint, Ivanti, Tenable, ACAS, HBSS).
- Implementation of NIST, CNSSI, DoD, or other government regulatory compliance standards.
- Execution of RMF Assessment & Authorization processes.
- Technical security consultation for complex, cross‑domain classified networks.
- Experience with Windows and Linux environments, large multi‑facility networks, and DISA STIGs.
- Cyber incident response – containment, preservation, eradication.
Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
