Material Program Manager (MPM)

Insight Global is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to support a leading aerospace and defense organization. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between program management, procurement, suppliers, and cross-functional business teams to ensure material availability and supply chain execution for mission-critical programs.

The Material Program Manager will own the coordination and execution of supply chain activities for assigned programs, acting as the central point of contact for material readiness, supplier performance, procurement alignment, and program support. This role requires a blend of supply chain expertise, program management, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary supply chain representative for assigned programs, partnering closely with Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Materials, and Procurement teams.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and lead recurring supplier status reviews to ensure performance and delivery commitments are met.
  • Drive supply chain execution by monitoring and mitigating risks related to:
    • Aging requisitions
    • Past-due purchase orders
    • Supplier delivery performance
    • Material shortages and critical path items
  • Collaborate with procurement and acquisitions teams to ensure timely purchase order placement and effective supplier oversight.
  • Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to support program health and material readiness.
  • Present supply chain status updates, risks, and recovery plans to internal stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Expedite critical materials and components to support production schedules and customer deployment timelines.
  • Support forecasting and planning activities to improve supply chain visibility and execution.
  • Provide supply chain inputs for customer proposals, including bill of material pricing and basis-of-estimate development.
  • Coordinate across suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve program-critical issues and maintain schedule adherence.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to program leadership by proactively identifying risks and driving corrective actions.

Compensation: $35/hr - $45/hr
