Director Of Finance & Administration

A well-established nonprofit organization dedicated to providing year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities is seeking a Director of Finance & Administration. This senior leadership role oversees the full scope of financial and administrative operations for the organization, including accounting, budgeting, payroll, human resources, technology, facilities, and compliance. The Director of Finance & Administration serves as a key strategic partner to the President & CEO and acts as the primary staff liaison to the Board of Directors and Finance Committee.

Financial Management

• Oversee and manage all budgets, forecasts, and internal financial plans, including multi-year projections
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to monitor, evaluate, and optimize cash flow and liquidity
• Establish annual financial priorities and benchmarks; conduct regular performance reporting measuring projections against actual results
• Maintain a schedule of fixed assets, acquisitions, and depreciation
• Manage all aspects of the annual audit and Form 990 preparation and submission

Compliance & Risk

• Manage all internal and external compliance programs associated with state and federal regulatory agencies
• Oversee the review and renewal of all organizational insurance policies
• Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place across all operational areas

Administration & Operations

• Oversee office facilities, technology, and equipment, ensuring adequate controls and operational efficiency
• Act as staff liaison to the Board of Directors and Finance Committee

Human Resources

• Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, personnel records management, legal compliance, compensation, benefits administration, and the employee evaluation process

General

• Perform other duties as assigned by the President & CEO

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of financial management experience within a nonprofit organization
• 5–8 years of accounting and finance experience with progressive responsibility
• Demonstrated experience working with external auditors and managing regulatory compliance
• Working knowledge of Quick Books and Salesforce platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
