Mission Systems Strategic Communications is seeking a Senior Program Manager to play a key role in the Strategic Communications ground terminal modernization.

Assures on-time execution of contracts and proposal submittals through empowerment, communication, setting expectations, and building teams. Requirements and contract change management. Acts as empowered authority to accomplish objectives. Drives tactical execution while meeting strategic objectives. Establishes and maintains key programmatic metrics, defines milestones, critical path and monitors adherence to program budgets and schedules. Develops and presents the program Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and long term financial outlook and commits to specific financial goals and obligations.

Leads the collaboration necessary across functional groups, broader RTX organizations and subcontractors to ensure program success. Ensures that functional resources, tools, and processes are utilized in a consistent way. Establishes roadmaps to drive down cost, improve performance, and win competitions. Maintains an energetic and productive work force. Provides leadership to direct and indirect reports, multi-functional teams and key partners with abilities to organize and prioritize to ensure successful execution of all commitments.

Establishes strong and purposeful relationships with customer. Maintains lines of communications with the customer to assure timely awareness and customer trust. Establishes growth strategies, with a significant focus on growing the business for both existing capabilities and future capabilities. Briefs leadership and customer stakeholder to maintain budgets and influence to attain future funding.

Qualifications You Must Have Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or equivalent years of work experience. Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in government, defense, aerospace or related industry. Experience with Government contracting requirements and the DoD acquisition management process.
