Shift:  Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Overtime:  Optional Saturdays | 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Experience Level:  Senior / Lead-Level (5+ years CNC programming experience)
Work Authorization:  Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (ITAR environment)

Bristol Precision continues to grow its prototype and small-batch aerospace, medical, and scientific programs. This Lead CNC Mill Programmer role exists to elevate programming standards, improve machining strategy, and drive consistency across complex 3-, 4-, and 5-axis work.

This is not a button-pushing role. You’ll have real influence over how parts are programmed, documented, and executed on the floor.

- What You’ll Be Doing

Program complex 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling jobs using Mastercam

Develop efficient machining strategies and optimize cycle times

Build complete prototype programs from print to proven process

Set up and validate first-piece parts as needed

Create clear, thorough setup documentation for machinists

Standardize tooling and programming methods to improve repeatability

Collaborate with setup machinists, production leadership, and quality

Mentor programmers and machinists on best practices

Specify material, tooling, and inspection requirements

This role combines high-level programming with hands-on validation and leadership.

- What We’re Looking For

Required:

5+ years of CNC programming experience using Mastercam

Experience programming complex prototype parts from start to finish

Strong understanding of 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling

Familiarity with Haas controls

Ability to inspect your own work to tight tolerances

Solid understanding of GD&T

Comfortable working in a small-company, high-accountability environment

Strong communication skills and professional mindset

Preferred:

Experience in aerospace, medical, or scientific industries

Experience mentoring or leading other programmers

Process improvement mindset
