Job Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate and timely movement of production materials into and out of storage areas while maintaining precise inventory records. This role supports daily business operations through organized material handling, cycle counting, and warehouse safety compliance.
The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, and a strong team player who demonstrates a proactive work ethic and commitment to maintaining inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurate and timely transfer of production materials into and from storage areas
Perform daily cycle counts and reconcile any inventory variances
Maintain quality record keeping for accurate inventory tracking
Receive materials into storage areas in a timely manner
Support business operations with timely and orderly material pulls
Keep storage areas clean, neat, and orderly to minimize safety hazards
Follow all safety guidelines and wear required safety equipment
Deliver Fed Ex and UPS packages throughout the facility
Interface with departments including Planning, Production, and Shipping
Perform work order kitting, Kan Ban replenishment, and fill shortages/backorders
Unload trucks using forklift and pallet jack
Generate daily cycle count worksheets, backorder, and negative inventory reports
Receive materials into approved inventory and verify incoming/outgoing shipments
Support distribution of incoming goods and cycle counting of finished goods and components
Required Experience:
Experience operating power equipment
Experience unloading trucks using forklift and pallet jack
Experience performing inventory cycle counts and reconciliation
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience with work order kitting and Kan Ban replenishment
Experience generating inventory reports
Experience supporting production environments
Required Skills:
Experience operating reach trucks (stand-up forklift)
Experience operating long prong ride-on pallet jack
Comfortable working at heights using cherry picker (“Man Up”) equipment
