Ken's Foods is a family owned and operated company that produces high quality dressings, sauces and marinades. Ken's Foods, Inc was incorporated in 1958, and currently has plant operations in Marlborough, Massachusetts, McDonough, Georgia, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Lebanon, Indiana. In addition, Ken's employs over 1000 employees nationally. Today, between our Retail Grocery Products and Food Service divisions, we produce and package over 400 varieties of dressings and sauces.

A lot of people also come to Ken's for custom‑made dressings and sauces. Others, like Paul Newman, even bring in their own ideas for dressings, and ask us to produce and bottle them. Ken's Foods continues to experience outstanding growth and the future looks even brighter.

SUMMARY

This Maintenance support position supports the entire plant's operational structure. The number of materials required, inventoried, and cataloged for each piece of equipment in our facility is this person’s core responsibility. Being able to have the right inventory of parts at the right time is a key function of our maintenance program and processes that we must have correct to be more successful.

The starting rate for this position is $25.00/hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Catalog and record all parts for new and existing equipment ensuring accuracy and availability
  • Receive and properly store all Maintenance parts and supplies
  • Conduct cycle counts and put away supplies accordingly
  • Issue and distribute Preventive and Corrective Maintenance work orders as directed by the Maintenance Manager
  • Work closely with the planning function to ensure materials and lead times are taken into account to execute our plans
  • Coordinate rebuilds and plans associated with PM’s
  • Assist employees in locating and checking out parts and supplies
  • Order parts and supplies as directed by the Maintenance Manager
  • Generate PO’s for various purchases
  • Coordinate parts and supplies deliveries to support production requirements
  • Coordinate with approved suppliers for the following:
    General PM planning, Special downtime events and projects
  • Incorporate new equipment into our required spare parts lists
  • Build critical spare parts inventory
  • Communicate effectively through verbal and written instructions with vendors and employees
  • Close Preventive and Corrective Maintenance work orders
  • Maintain the Maintenance Stock areas in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Process invoices for payment and maintain vendor list
  • Input data into Docuware
  • Research discrepancies for payments and materials
  • Process paperwork
  • Set up and pull kits
  • Coordinate returns of goods mis‑shipped or otherwise not required
  • Deliver parts from stores in breakdown scenarios
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
