Medcor is looking to hire a Registered Nurse part‑time to work one day a week for eight hours or two half days at our employer‑based clinic in Marlborough, MA, which performs occupational health care and injury/illness management.
Schedule: Tues & Wed 1 pm‑5 pm or Wed & Thurs 1 pm‑5 pm.
We’re seeking a nurse who routinely engages in conversations with everyone they meet, treats patients with the same empathy they would desire for themselves, and enjoys good pay and growth potential. This role will pay $45‑$50 /hr based on experience.
ResponsibilitiesThe position’s responsibilities include collaborative work with medical and operational leadership, clinical oversight of providers, client staff, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure. Day‑to‑day tasks include patient care, ongoing workers’ compensation case management, return‑to‑work program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring.
Typical Day- Participate in daily operations at the on‑site clinic
- Provide superior customer service to client employees
- Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence‑Based Medicine protocols (MCPs)
- Build and maintain internal team relationships
- Support on‑site employee health and wellness efforts
- Conduct pre‑employment and post‑offer screenings
- Document care using state‑of‑the‑art EMR and other tools
- Perform physical assessment testing (PATs)
- Manage cases and medical charting
- Maintain OSHA recordkeeping
- Have valid licensure for the RN position
- Have current BLS (AHA or ARC)
- Strong computer and technology skills, including EMR familiarity
- Able to lift a 50‑lb emergency response bag
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive and outgoing personality
- Willingness to obtain ergonomic assessment certification within 30 days of hire, if not already certified
- Passionate about people and delivering optimal care
- Ready to go above and beyond and add fun to the workplace
- Comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Relevant occupational health experience
- Experience in emergency medicine or critical care
