Director Of Nursing Services At Marlborough Hills Rehab

As a Director of Nursing Services, you will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of our Nursing Services Department, ensuring that our residents receive top-notch care in a safe and efficient manner.

Marlborough Hills is an 186-bed skilled nursing facility with a large SUDS population. Salaried role up to $160,000.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department, according to state and federal guidelines and scope of patient care.
  • Maintain and review clinical policies and procedures, and develop new ones as needed.
  • Develop and implement a nursing service organization structure.
  • Determine the staffing needs of the nursing service department and make recommendations to the Administrator.
  • Oversee licensed nursing staff and develop work assignments and schedules.
  • Develop and maintain an on-call program for the nursing department.
  • Conduct daily rounds of each nursing unit and review satisfaction of care and services with families and residents.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining the Infection Control Program and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, college, or university, B.S.N. preferred.
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
  • CPR certified.
  • Certification in Gerontology preferred.
  • At least one year of additional education or experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing and one year of nursing administration.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
