American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring an active MA RN license and prior telemetry experience.

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45-07:15
• Every other weekend required
• May float to the ED for boarder patients as needed
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations, must be able to work all 7 days

• Active MA RN license in hand required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac telemetry, IV therapy, central/PICC/peripheral line care, blood product administration, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with respiratory care including chest tubes, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and tracheostomy management preferred
• Experience with renal, GI, and cardiovascular care including CBI, feeding tubes, and pre/post cardiac cath preferred
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher

• Provide telemetry monitoring and emergency response care for cardiac and respiratory patients
• Must complete a pass/fail Telemetry test during orientation with an 80% passing score and only 1 attempt allowed
• Must also complete a pass/fail Medication exam at orientation
• Pre-start and orientation modules required, with additional annual modules
• Only 1 major holiday may be requested as RTO, with potential to work the other 2
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed in the first week
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at the same bill rate
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• Candidates with prior disciplinary action on their nursing license will not be considered
