The Complaint Investigation Specialist is responsible for receiving, investigating, documenting, and reporting product complaints in a timely and compliant manner. This role performs initial root cause analysis and testing on returned products, maintains complaint records within the database, ensures product traceability, and collaborates with Manufacturing, R&D, and other teams to complete investigations. Additional responsibilities include maintaining laboratory equipment, calibration records, inventory, and documentation;
supporting updates to testing procedures; identifying process improvements; and ensuring compliance with quality system requirements and corporate procedures. This is a fully onsite position working under close to moderate supervision.
- Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent relevant work experience
- 1+ year of related experience
- Technical writing experience
- Experience conducting investigations and documenting findings
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Quality, Manufacturing, and R&D teams
- Experience with complaint management systems or quality databases (GCMS or similar)
- Experience supporting product traceability processesically
- Familiarity with manufacturing, medical device, or other regulated environments
- Experience maintaining laboratory equipment, calibration records, and inventory
- Knowledge of quality systems and complaint handling processes
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify process enhancements
