QA Inspector

They are seeking a hands-on Quality Assurance Inspector to support their manufacturing operations in Marlborough, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting components, raw materials, and completed hardware to ensure full compliance with engineering drawings, purchase order requirements, and strict aerospace quality standards.

Working closely with a dedicated Quality team, manufacturing personnel, and Quality Engineering, you will help identify non-conformances early and ensure all hardware is thoroughly documented and fully compliant throughout the production lifecycle.

• Hands-on Inspection: Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on aerospace components, raw materials, and mechanical assemblies.
• Precision Measurement: Utilize standard inspection tools—including calipers, micrometers, and durometers to inspect mechanical components against engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Assembly Verification: Witness and verify critical hardware assembly processes, including precise torque operations.
• Defect & Non-Conformance Management: Identify hardware defects, document non-conforming materials, and generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) within the ERP system.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Quality Engineers, fellow inspectors, and shop-floor manufacturing teams to resolve inspection issues quickly.
• Quality Records & Compliance: Maintain precise inspection records, verify technical documentation, and ensure all hardware complies with applicable aerospace manufacturing standards.

• Experience: 3–5+ years of dedicated Quality Control or Quality Assurance inspection experience.
• Industry Background: Proven experience within the aerospace, defense, or military manufacturing sectors.
• Mechanical Expertise: Strong hands-on background inspecting mechanical components and manufactured hardware using precision measuring instruments.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and accurately interpret complex mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and purchase order requirements.
• ERP & Quality Documentation: Familiarity with generating non-conformance reports and managing inspection data within an ERP system.
