* Onsite role based at our Marlborough, MA site*
Conduct systematic experiments of in vitro transcription (IVT) reaction on benchtop bioreactors; collect and analyze the data.
Develop and execute protocols for preparing and characterizing nucleic acid–loaded lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations using automated LNP synthesis platforms.
Support LNP process development activities, including screening, scale-up, and manufacturing-relevant workflow optimization.
Troubleshoot issues with experimental design and execution.
Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data; prepare technical summaries and present results in internal meetings and reviews.
Education
Current graduate student in biomedical, chemical, mechanical engineering, or related field with formal education and experience with lipid nanoparticles and/or nucleic acids.
Hands‑on laboratory experience with RNA synthesis, preferably including in vitro transcription.
Experience with LNP formulation and characterization, including techniques such as dynamic light scattering (DLS), nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA), Ribo Green assay, HPLC, chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, ELISA, or related assays.
Ideal to have an experience with one or more of the following: dynamic light scattering (DLS), nanoparticle tracking analysis, Ribo Green assay, HPLC, chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, ELISAFamiliarity with microfluidic instruments, laboratory automation, 3D printing, advanced cell models, or conjugation reactions is a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize results and present findings clearly.
